This blog will be written by a stay at home mom/student. I am trying to enjoy every minute of life I get and raise my children to be happy with what we have been given. Anything written here will be by me, for my well being and piece of mind. I want to open other peoples eyes, and let them see that we can make it on less.

Christmas is over.

Well I thought that I had done so good by keeping things low key and not spending alot of money. It would have been a truly stress free holiday had my husband not charged some things for our boys that he thought necessary. It caused alot of stress on me and my stomach to have come so far without charging anything and then for him to go out and do it 2 days before Christmas. I find it hard to live frugally when your spouse is not on the same boat. It causes hurt feelings and resentment. His feelings were hurt because I didn't go gaga over the gift he bought me and my feelings were hurt that he charged something when he knows how it goes against my will. I pray that everyone had a great Christmas and I hope you have a Happy New year!

Thoughtful Thursday.

Why is it that you spend your money on things to give to someone else and they spend their money on things to give you?

Home made dryer sheets

I have been reading up and trying different things for my dryer, instead of buying dryer sheets. Here is my latest. I took an old coffee can with a lid and added 2 cups of hot water, 1 cup of white vinegar, and 1/2 cup of hair conditioner. Mix it all together with a whisk and then I added squares of fleece that I had been saving for no special reason. I add one with every load and wow it really seems to be working! No static!!!! Very quick to make and reuses household items, can't ask for more around here.
